South African's future is in the hands of Tomorrow's Leaders
Call for nominations for Tomorrow's Leaders Convention 2011

South Africa's next generation of CEOs are now in line for nomination to attend the Tomorrow's Leaders Convention 2011 at the Sandton International Convention Centre on 31 March. This fourth annual convention is now generally recognised as a highlight on the country's corporate calendar.

Following the call for nominations, companies and institutions are selecting up to four executives identified as potential CEOs in the next two or three years to attend the convention as the guests of award-winning Leadership magazine.

At the one-day convention these leaders of tomorrow are addressed by today's leaders in politics, finance, business and industry on a range of issues they are likely to face in their boardrooms in the months and years ahead.

Leadership magazine has invited several high-profile speakers who will join renowned futurist Clem Sunter at the 2011 convention.

A key theme for 2011 will be the four basic tenets of transformation leadership -- developing the vision, selling the vision, finding the way forward and leading the charge.

After the morning plenary the convention separates into sector-specific breakaway sessions where the delegates discuss and debate those issues that are particularly relevant for their own areas of interest. These sessions have proved to be perhaps the most important feature of the convention proceedings, according to convention director Dylan James.

"They provide the opportunity for the emerging leaders to share experiences, exchange ideas and generally bond with their peers - and experience has shown that many lasting friendships have been formed here," said James.

After a day of high interest, concentration and absorbing debate, the delegates are able to relax at a cocktail party followed by an evening of wining and dining and great entertainment which, according to James, has come to be regarded as one of South Africa's most enjoyable social occasions.

As a roadmap and reference for tomorrow's leaders, all the speeches, discussions and debates - the entire convention proceedings - are edited and published by the convention organisers Cape Media Corporation in a hard-cover coffee-table-style Blueprint for Corporate South Africa.

Said Dylan James: "In essence Tomorrow's Leaders Convention encourages, applauds and in a special way educates the next generation of leaders engendering a spirit of confidence and togetherness among the delegates.

"It is very good for the future leaders, very good for future business - and very good for South Africa."
