DHL to deliver Tomorrow's Leaders Convention 2012
Tomorrow's Leaders Convention 2012, the fifth annual one-day event which has become a firm favourite with South African corporate, is being sponsored by DHL South Africa, part of the global logistics and transport organisation renowned for its ability to deliver its customers' goods in quick time to almost anywhere in the world.
The convention is hosted by award-winning Leadership magazine, which each year invites South African corporate organisations -- and government departments -- to select as delegates up to four executives who are regarded as having the potential to take the helm as the corporate CEO within the next two or three years.
At the convention the delegates are addressed by today's leaders from the most important sectors of the economy -- such as finance, trade and industry, and politics -- on the key issues they are likely to face in the boardrooms of the future.
Previous speakers have included President Jacob Zuma, Saki Makozoma, Reuel Khoza, Tom Boardman, Patrice Motsepe, Mathews Phosa, Clem Sunter, and Vusi Pikoli, among others.
After listening to the leaders of today identifying issues and offering guidance and advice the leaders of tomorrow gather in sector-specific sessions to exchange ideas and experiences and generally bond with their peers in what is recognised as one of the most important features of the convention.
In announcing his group's decision to sponsor Tomorrow's Leaders Convention 2012, Hennie Heymans, managing director of DHL Worldwide Express said the group was greatly impressed with the objectives of the Tomorrow's Leaders Convention and the opportunity it offered to be "hands-on" with such a corporate initiative.
"We also like to feel that with 50% of the Forbes 500 companies among our customers, more than 500,000 employees and operations in 220 countries we might be able to offer some input to the event."
Tomorrow's Leaders Convention 2012 will take place at the Sandton International Convention Centre on 13 March 2012 and nomination of delegates is now underway.
